Procurement Assistant
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain trade relationships with vendors, including opening and managing wholesale accounts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and product records within the studio database.
Source pricing, availability, and lead time information to support project timelines and design decisions.
Prepare and process client proposals and purchase orders with accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate procurement and ordering of approved furnishings and materials.
Track material samples, orders, and deliveries to ensure alignment with project schedules.
Maintain organized delivery timelines by project and support installation planning.
Coordinate with receiving warehouses, storage facilities, and delivery teams to ensure items are handled and transported with care.
Inspect goods upon receipt and during installation to ensure all items meet quality standards.
Manage vendor communication regarding damages, discrepancies, returns, and replacements.
Coordinate furniture installations, including white-glove delivery services at client residences.
Support studio operations including photoshoots, trade market visits, and project logistics.
Assist designers with product sourcing and preparation of client presentation materials as needed.
Qualifications:
Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; Comfort learning new systems and procurement platforms.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small studio environment.
Familiarity with interior design terminology, furnishings procurement, and vendor coordination preferred.
Ability to interpret product specifications and technical order details.
Design Assistant
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist with client consultations to understand project goals, lifestyle needs, aesthetic preferences, and budget parameters.
Develop and present comprehensive design concepts, including mood boards, drawings, space plans, and 3D visualizations.
Guide projects from initial concept through final installation, ensuring alignment with client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
Produce detailed floor plans and layouts that balance functionality, spatial flow, and visual impact.
Source and specify materials, furnishings, finishes, and accessories that support the overall design vision.
Coordinate with contractors, architects, vendors, and consultants to ensure accurate execution of design intent.
Monitor project progress through site visits, addressing challenges proactively and maintaining quality standards.
Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking selections and expenditures throughout the design process.
Oversee procurement coordination to support timely ordering and delivery of approved items.
Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and thoughtful guidance.
Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and best practices to bring fresh, informed solutions to each project.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (or comparable platforms).
Strong understanding of space planning, materiality, and foundational design principles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative studio environment.
Experience working with residential design projects preferred.
